Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Kasso mobile application and related services ("Service") provided by Kasso ("we", "our", or "us"). By using Kasso, you agree to these Terms.
1. Service Description
Kasso is an AI-powered expense tracking application. The Service allows you to record, categorize, and analyze personal expenses using text, voice, and photo input.
Important: Kasso is an expense tracker, not a financial advisor. The Service does not provide financial advice, investment recommendations, tax guidance, or any form of professional financial consultation. All information provided by the AI assistant is for organizational purposes only.
2. Account & Access
You can use Kasso without creating an account (anonymous mode with a device identifier). Optionally, you may sign in with Apple, Google, or email to enable account recovery and cross-device features.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and account credentials.
- You must not share your account or allow unauthorized access.
- We may limit anonymous accounts to a maximum of 3 devices.
3. Subscriptions & Payments
Free Plan: Kasso offers a free tier with limited usage (20 transactions/month, 50 AI queries/month). New users receive a 7-day grace period with full access to all features.
Pro Plan ($4.99/month or $39.99/year): Unlimited transactions, AI queries, voice input, and receipt scanning. Access to the more capable AI model.
- Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are provided.
- Refund requests must be directed to Apple or Google, as they process all payments.
- We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice. Existing subscribers keep their price until their next renewal after the notice period.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Track finances related to illegal activities, money laundering, or fraud.
- Attempt to extract, reverse-engineer, or abuse the AI model or its outputs.
- Circumvent usage limits, rate limiting, or other access controls.
- Distribute malware or interfere with the Service's infrastructure.
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service.
- Harass, abuse, or send harmful content through the AI chat interface.
5. Your Data
You own all financial data you enter into Kasso. We claim no ownership or license over your transaction data, budgets, categories, or other financial information.
- Your financial data is stored exclusively on your device, encrypted with AES-256.
- You can export your data as CSV at any time.
- You can delete your account and all server-side data at any time via Settings → Delete Account.

6. AI-Generated Content
The AI assistant in Kasso generates responses based on language models. Please be aware:
- AI responses may occasionally contain errors or inaccuracies ("hallucinations").
- You should always review and confirm AI-suggested categorizations and amounts before saving.
- The AI does not have access to external financial systems, bank accounts, or real-time market data.
- AI-generated summaries and forecasts are based solely on the data you have entered and should not be relied upon for financial decisions.
7. Intellectual Property
The Kasso application, including its design, code, AI integrations, and branding, is our intellectual property. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service.
The name "Kasso", logo, and visual identity are trademarks of Kasso.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
- We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated content.
- We are not liable for any financial decisions made based on information provided by the Service.
- Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for subscriptions in the 12 months preceding the claim.
- We are not liable for data loss on your device. We recommend regular backups via CSV export.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
10. Service Availability
- We aim to maintain the Service's availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
- The app functions offline for expense recording; AI features require an internet connection.
- We may perform maintenance or updates that temporarily affect availability.
- We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service with 30 days notice.
11. Termination
- You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the app.
- You may delete your account and server-side data at any time.
- We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, with notice when practicable.
- Upon termination, your on-device data remains on your device. Server-side data is deleted within 30 days.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via in-app notification or email at least 14 days before changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
13. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the European Union. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the competent courts, at our discretion.
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
